The room was packed with 65 music lovers soaking up the atmosphere and witnessing the musical talents of Chris, Andy and Dan playing a a wide variety of styles playing the bass, guitar, mandolin attracting applause from the audience with every number. In response to the applause for the final number of the evening, which was a lively energetic piece we were granted one final contrasting number, a more relaxed and progressive piece.

The evening featured a wide variety of music, music from the genres of English, Scottish, Irish, Swedish, American and
Québecois traditional to country, ragtime, Latin, African, swing and modern jazz, interspersed with stories about his life with music.

Chris Newman has said he would love to return the Aughton and we would be delighted to have him visit again.
